Sourdough Waffles

Sourdough Waffles

  • 2 cups of Sourdough Starter
  • 2 Eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ground ginger or 1 tsp. of dry ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of cooking oil or melted butter

  1. Beat egg whites.
  2. Mix all other ingredients.
  3. Fold in egg whites.
  4. Bake in waffle iron following manufacturer directions.
May also be used for pancakes.
