Apple Dumpling Dessert
Apple Dumpling Dessert- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 apples, diced
- Bring brown sugar, butter and water to a boil.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla to make a batter. Stir apples into dough.
- Drop by spoonful into boiling syrup in 9x13 pan.
- Bake slowly 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Baste with syrup once or twice. Should be brown on top when done.
- Serve with whipped cream or plain cream.
